State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki is keeping her eye on the bauble.

The red-haired media rep for Secretary John Kerry has a penchant for wearing funky, chunky necklaces to her press briefings, which makes her an outlier in the otherwise dull fashion scene of Washington.

Psaki frequently opts for a grand-size turquoise strand of oversized beads, adding a pop of color to neutral jackets or pairing the piece with colorful tops.

Other accessories in the Psaki collection include a bib-style bright turquoise crystal necklace, which she matched with a fuchsia dress.

Additionally, she has modeled a multi strand shell necklace, a strand of beige colored beads and a five-strand brown neck piece.

But of all the colorful jewelry in her possession, Psaki’s favorite is an orange necklace “she picked up in India made of an old sari wrapped around beads when she was there with Secretary Kerry last spring,” State Department sources say.

She is currently traveling with Kerry in the Middle East – where perhaps she’ll nab a souvenir to display at her next podium appearance.

Psaki seems to be taking a page from the stylish ex-State Department staffer, and longtime Hillary Clinton aide, Huma Abedin – who also broke with the Beltway mold by adding eye-popping necklaces to her outfits.

Psaki started working for the Obama administration’s press team in 2008 and then took the helm at the Department of State press office in 2013.

The thirtysomething, who is reportedly being groomed to take over Jay Carney’s job as the White House Press Secretary, has been praised as a “great style role model for Capitol Hill” for her bold fashion picks.

“A statement necklace really is a great way to break up the monotony of a uniform,” stylist Phillip Bloch told the Daily News.

“A necklace for a woman is like a tie for a man, but it should never be overpowering. She’s done a nice job keeping it minimal. She’s taking the trend from the runway to the real-way,” he gushed about the political fashionista.

Previous women in the D.C. spotlight have shown their fashionable sides, such as former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, who was noted for her collection of pins.

Bloch says that by embracing the statement necklace, Psaki is paving the way for a trendier look for the younger generation of women in politics.

The fashion maven added that women in powerful positions shouldn’t be shy about navigating the world of style.

“Women should stand up for what’s right … and you can’t make a statement if you don’t stand out!”
